Employee spotlight:
Solomon Gezari

Solomon Gezari, a Sales Director for LoopMe’s AMP Audience & Measurement Platform, features in LoopMe’s employee spotlight series.

Why did you decide to join LoopMe?
Back when I was but a young sales lad at Nielsen, I dreamed of working at a cool ad tech startup one day. But I didn’t quite know how I was going to make that happen since my sales experience was quite research/measurement-focused and perhaps not-quite-digital-enough. After working at a number of great companies in the research industry, some downright digital-ish, I got a call from my former cubicle-mate Rob Cukierman who had the perfect opportunity for me: to be a part of a new measurement business within a cool ad tech startup! This was my big moment and the rest is history.

What project or event has been your favourite to work on at LoopMe?
I’ve had the great privilege of being part of the early stages of LoopMe’s Audience and Measurement Platform (AMP) and seeing our capabilities, impact, and team grow exponentially over the last few years. This product can do a lot of downright cool stuff across so many different use cases and we’re truly just getting started. I think we are positioned to make as big of an impact in the research business as we are already making in the ad business. You heard it here. Check back with me in 5 years when the dust settles.

What motivates you to come to work?
One time I didn’t feel like coming to work. I was tired and was feeling sorry for myself. Then I got an early-morning Slack from a colleague in Dnipro who is smarter and better looking than me (there’s a few of them so you’ll never know who I’m talking about). This individual has never once uttered a cynical or pessimistic word so long as I’ve known them despite having every excuse to do so (see news headlines). Then I remembered that I’m a part of a global team of all-stars who deserve nothing short of my best effort every day. From Dnipro to Singapore to San Francisco to London, the sun never sets on the hard-working geniuses of LoopMe!

Tell us a bit about yourself.
I live in Brooklyn, NY with my wife and daughters (3.5y and 5m). They are extremely cute and fun. When I’m not slinging data products, I’m going toe-to-toe with our toddler or wiping drool from our infant’s smiling face. In my free time, I love to go on runs in Prospect Park, make too much of one dish, save hot new restaurants on Google Maps, and go to the symphony at Lincoln Center.

What has been your greatest achievement in the last year?
Welcoming our new baby daughter over the summer.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose and why?
I would still live in New York City, but with a slight tweak: I would make a change to the amount of money that I have in my bank account, insofar as I would have it increase by an exponential amount, and then I would use those additional funds to acquire a highly capacious dwelling, tastefully adorned, in which my family would reside and from which we would venture out to explore the 7 continents.
