What we need

We’re looking for a Financial Controller responsible for leading the team of 12 talented finance professionals globally across the Company’s accounting and finance operations. This role will ensure the Management accounts, AP and AR functions operate effectively across this fast growth Group. In order to succeed in this role the candidate will need to have previous experience managing these teams at a multi-currency, multi-entity company and will be extremely diligent, proactive, and organised.

 Accounting and finance operations

• Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
• Review financial and operational reconciliations prepared by the team
• Effective working capital management with optimised credit control and approval of bi-monthly payment runs
• Review all intra & intercompany reconciliations and recharges
• Short and long term cash flow forecasting and analysis
• Ensure all financial policies are understood and followed 

Reporting and audit

• Maintain an appropriate control and compliance environment to effectively manage risk to financial information and infrastructure
• Supervise the production of accounts and reports by the management accounts team
• Oversee interim and annual audits to agreed deadlines 

Tax

• Support team alongside external tax advisors to ensure adherence with all local tax regulations as well as effective group tax planning
• Review all local sales tax returns and exposures
• Review year end corporation tax packs for all companies

Other

• Manage, motivate and coach the team
• Provide strategic financial guidance to senior leadership
• Monitor team deliverables and interactions with FP&A and across all business functions
• Drive process and system improvements for control and efficiency gains
• Management of equity transactions and reporting

Experience

• Qualified accountant with relevant post-qualification experience
• Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS 
• High level of attention to detail and ability to manage to tight deadlines
• Experience with NetSuite would be preferable 
• Extensive excel skills
