What we need:

We are in search of a skilled data engineer who can proactively construct and manage an in-house data repository that will aid Tableau and empower our BI users to make well-informed decisions. Our data is presently stored in several locations such as Clickhouse, Postgres, and Elastic Search. Our users either use the reporting feature within our products, which is intended for tracking client activity rather than for comprehensive internal BI, or they utilize one or more ad hoc extracts pulled into Tableau. Your responsibility will be to identify prospects for streamlining the process.

What you’ll be doing:

• Partnering with our Product Team, and in particular the Product Analyst, you will identify the core data required within the platform (based on the needs from Finance and/or Business Development teams)
• Analysing and organising the raw data from different sources
• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture exposing data from our databases into Tableau
• Creating data systems and pipelines to ensure data is current and accurate
• Exploring ways to enhance data quality and reliability
• Working with other engineers to create a Tableau reporting environment

You’ll have:

• 5+ years experience in a data engineering role
• Experience with a range of database technologies including Clickhouse, Postgres and ElasticSearch
• Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• Hands-on experience with SQL / NoSQL databases
• Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
